How It Works?
Schneider Go Green 2021 is open to two-member teams from anywhere in the world.
To take part, you must:
APPLICATION PHASE
September 8, 2020 - March 7, 2021
Register on the platform, choose a competition category and submit a 10 slide proposal deck in English (PPT or PDF format), addressing the following:
- Problem statement
- Key points of differentiation
- Operational availability
- Team profile
REGIONAL PRE-SCREENING
March 8, 2021 - March 30, 2021
Regional judges will review submitted proposals then vote on the top student teams (up to 10 teams chosen per region) to receive mentorship on the following criteria:
- Innovativeness
- Feasibility
- Presentation quality
- Sustainable impact
MENTORSHIP
March 31, 2021 - April 23, 2021
Selected teams will receive mentorship from Schneider Electric professionals to improve on their solution and polish their proposals. Teams will be expected to submit a 20-slide deck, by the end of the mentoring phase, expanding upon their previous submission with additional appendices (Including an idea synopsis of up to 800 words, CVs, etc.).
REGIONAL FINAL
April 28, 2021
The regional finals will provide teams the opportunity to pitch their business ideas virtually to a panel of judges. After deliberation, each regional jury will select a single team to progress to the global finals. The winners of the Women in Energy Award will also progress to the global finals.
Selection will be based on the following criteria:
- Understanding user needs
- Solution innovation
- Feasibility/financial business case
- Sustainable impact
- Alignment to rules and conditions
FINALS PREPARATION
April 29, 2021 - June 14, 2021
Once the final eight teams have been announced, each team will be prepared by Schneider Electric experts to further develop their innovative solution and prepare for the final event. Teams will have a few weeks to practice and perfect their pitch before the global finals.
GLOBAL FINALS
June 15 - 17, 2021
Each team will have the chance to pitch their business idea in a 15-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A to a panel of judges made up of Schneider Electric’s senior management. The top team will be selected on the following criteria:
- Understanding user needs
- Solution innovation
- Feasibility/financial business case
- Sustainable impact
- Alignment to rules and conditions
